It may not be April 1st yet, but American Eagle Outfitters already appears to be fooling fans with a limited-edition range of spray-on jeans.
The Skinny Skinny Jeans product page on the label's websiteshows two cans, in indigo and 'bright light', each $49.95, and a description bills it as 'our skinniest and tightest fit yet and is so comfortable, you’ll feel like you’re wearing nothing at all.'Tellingly, though, one cannot actually select a color or order - instead, one is informed that the product has temporarily sold out.Scroll down for video
An accompanying commercial is equally convincing, were it not so cheesy and the jeans so hideous.It features models sketching, skateboarding and playing music in this apparently spray-on denim, describing how creative they are. Such creativity, apparently includes activities such as matching jeans with T-shirts and playing vinyls while practicing your best Blue Steel.
